Keith Urban "Kiss The Rain Goodbye"

I have just come across another absolute gem from the unreleased files of Keith Urban. This track was put down somewhere in the early 90's by the sound of it. His voice has the same quality as in "I Got It Bad" which was on Keith's  "1991" album. If it was in fact recorded with the same people as GIB,it was drums, Peter Clarke, bass,Peter Blyton, slide,Kirk Lorange, backing vocals,Rick Price andPeter Blyton and of course Keith on guitars and backing vocals.

"Kiss The Rain" is raw,but we can still pick up Keith's unmistakable laugh at the end of the second verse.
I can picture him hunched over his guitar, totally absorbed in the song shaking his head side to side in time with the beat like we have seen him do time and time again and still does today.

Although Keith is more mature now his early music set the ground work for the most awesome performer I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.Keith has been requested to sing some of these very early songs at small live performances but has declined due to the fact he has not sung some of them for over 15 years.

I have had KTRG on repeat for about 15 hours now, love this song and the visions it brings to mind.
Take a listen and tell me what you think.

My Heart Is Open

This is one of my favorite songs from Keith. The first time I heard it was just after I had raced to my local music store the day "Defying Gravity" came out. With shaking hands I opened the case and slipped the cd into the cd player in my car,I sat there listening to "Kiss a Girl","If Ever" "Sweet Thing" and "Till Summer Comes Around" before the other people in the carpark started giving me strange looks.Just as "MY Heart is Open" started I decided to drive home so I could listen to it properly through my head phones. From what I could hear as I drove,it was all I hoped for.Arriving home I put the cd on and sat back to listen. "OMG" the song is filled with such feelings and emotion It blew me away. When Keith gets to the second verse and sings,"but don't you know, you can believe me when I say ,I'm your man,My heart is open", right there Keith draws in his breath, when I heard that, that was the end of me,I sat with both hands clasped over my headphones pressing them to my ears so I wouldn't miss a single note with tears running down my face shaking my head from side to side saying "no" over and over.I was hoplessley in love with Keith all over again. You can hear every breath he takes and it sounds like he is singing right into your ears.If you have not heard this song through headphones or an ipod,I strongly suggest you do!
